Net Revenue was founded in 1998 to help hospitals bridge the gap between clinical workflows and financial accountability.

LEADERSHIP:

BOB MEDCALF, FOUNDER AND CEO

After graduation from Indiana University Kelley School of Business Bob spent 20 years as a hospital CFO with both HCA and QHR. He led several turnaround situations utilizing his unique strategy on Revenue enhancement, Asset management, Cash controls, and Expense reduction (RACE) focusing on process improvement. He also developed a specialized understanding of CMS regulations that contributed to his success in provider revenue enhancements. He started his company to assist other providers accomplish these results by providing no risk consulting engagements that includes the implementation of sustainable improvements.

BRIANNA N. MONROE, CFO

Since 2011 Brianna has been the CFO of Net Revenue Associates, LLC. a healthcare consulting firm focused on revenue integrity services for both For-Profit and Non-profit health systems. Prior to her position at Net Revenue, she was a Partner at Morgan Stanley where her team, a group of Wealth Management Advisors, focused on asset protection, estate planning and corporate investment services. In addition, she served on the Board of the University of Utah Las Vegas Alumni Chapter and co-founded the Chapter’s first scholarship program. Brianna attended The University of Utah where she was an NCAA Scholarship Athlete and a graduate of the David Eccles School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Brianna is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and volunteers with the Northeast Ohio Chapter. She has held numerous leadership positions, including President during the pandemic, Chairman of the Board, and is currently serving as a Director.

TIM MONROE, CIO

Tim joined Net Revenue in 2005 while still pursuing his Bachelor’s of Science from Kent State University. After graduating and spending time working for the Cleveland Clinic, he made the decision to join Net Revenue full time in 2009. During his almost 2 decades with the company he has gained a keen understanding of what matters to our clients, not just in regard to revenue generation, but also for their operations, workflows, and analytics. His concern for delivering the best product possible has lead to many efficiencies and growth for Net Revenue and their clients alike. Due to this he has gained the respect and trust of countless clients. When he isn’t working, Tim loves spending time with his family, coaching baseball, cheering on the Buckeyes, and just watching movies.

JEFF POPP, VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND MARKETING

Jeff brings extensive firsthand knowledge of revenue cycle management to our team. Previously, Jeff was Vice President of a national healthcare consulting firm specializing in revenue cycle financial improvements. He was also the former Director of Revenue Cycle for Southwest General Health Center, as well as the former Regional Administrative Director for Community Health Partners & Allen Medical Center. Before joining Net Revenue Associates, he was one of Net Revenue Associates’s first clients. When not at work, Jeff enjoys traveling, a variety of outdoor activities/sports and spending time with his family.

CAROL TROMMER, RN, BSN, VICE PRESIDENT PERI-OPERATIVE SERVICES

Carol joined the Net Revenue team in 2015 after spending more than 25 years in a variety of roles in surgical services. Her experience ranges from an operating room in a level 1 trauma facility to a physician owned surgery center. Her work in these settings has given her a sound understanding of the challenges encountered with documentation driven charge capture in fast paced, often critical areas of patient care. She brings this knowledge to her current role by partnering with clinical mangers and staff to identify opportunities for cost capture processes. Her favorite part of an engagement is the moment our clients realize the costs of resources they struggle to account for can be accurately and transparently covered. When she is not working with hospitals Carol enjoys spending time with her family, serving at her church, hiking, gardening, and tending her flock of chickens.

GRETCHEN WITHER, RN, BSN, DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES

Gretchen is an experienced nurse who has worked directly in patient care in multiple service lines at University Hospitals as well as a patient chart auditor. Her background auditing for quality improvement and documentation accuracy within the operating room provided her with the interest to pursue a career in improving nursing documentation. Gretchen started working with Net Revenue in 2018 reviewing nursing documentation in different EMR systems. This has given her an advantage in identifying documentation limitations that affect charge capture and revenue generation. In her free time, Gretchen enjoys golfing with her husband, attending sporting events for her two children and vacationing at the beach.
