website accessibility & usability
WCAG and W3C Standard Compliance
Since 1999 the Disability Discrimination Act has required that websites be accessible to those with disabilities. Although the Act does not outline exactly how this is to be done, it is widely regarded that if a site follows the stringent World Wide Web Consortium Guidelines (W3C) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), it will be in compliance with the Act.
Net Revenue can conduct reviews of existing sites or provide this service as part of the development of a new site. We will establish whether or not the site complies with these guidelines and what level of compliance it falls under. We can also code sites to ensure they are in line with the guidelines at any level.
Getting someone to your site is only the half of it...
Even if a visitor is persuaded they’ve come to the right place, if they can’t use your site effectively they will leave very quickly. Usability is a key consideration for Net Revenue when building a website. Simply put, the easier it is for a customer to use your website, the more likely they will take an action such as making an enquiry or a purchase.
We apply our customary usability checks to all websites we develop and create specific guidelines factoring in your target audience and product/service offerings. We can also conduct a bespoke usability test on your existing website or during the process of developing your new site. This provides a wealth of valuable information about how a visitor interacts with your site, what problems they are experiencing, and what can be done to address them.
